The GBBC was one of the first online projects to collect information on wild birds and was also instrumental in the creation of eBird back in 2002. WebThe Great Backyard Bird Count is a collaborative effort from the Cornell Lab, Birds Canada, and National Audubon Society. Wild Birds Unlimited is also a founding sponsor.
